Whistle-Stop Movie
A Political Comedy About Desperation, Rumors, and Conspiracy
About Whistle-Stop
Whistle-Stop is a crowd-equity funded feature film that explores the absurdity of modern politics through a darkly comedic lens. Written and directed by Liam Greenlee, the film follows a desperate mayoral candidate who finds himself caught in a web of his own making. When faced with an outlandish rumor about him and his wife, he embarks on an increasingly frantic mission to distract his town from the truth, ultimately resorting to endorsing a conspiracy theory on live television.
Featuring powerhouse performances by Daniel David Stewart and Emily Skeggs, Whistle-Stop is a sharp, satirical commentary on political desperation, media manipulation, and the lengths people will go to protect their image. This indie film challenges audiences to laugh at the chaos of contemporary politics while questioning the nature of truth in the age of misinformation.
